We were stuck on a cruise ship for months – now we’re engaged

Everyone is FREIGHT this couple.

Passengers on a luxury cruise have been stranded in Belfast after their ship underwent emergency and unexpected repairs.

With Villa Vie Odyssey docked in Northern Ireland, cruise travelers have had plenty of time to fall in love with the capital – and each other.

Angela Harsanyi and Gian Perroni met in Belfast four months ago when they were due to embark on a three-year cruise to the 425 – and this week they announced their engagement.

Harsanyi, 53, from Colorado, and Perroni, 62, from Canada, revealed that their forced stay at local hotels in the “magnificent” city made them discover they were “made for each other”.

“About six weeks ago, we started walking back and forth to the ship every day together,” Harsanyi told The Guardian.

“It was about an hour’s walk there and back every day. And through that, we really started to discover how similar we were and how much we enjoyed each other’s company. And we found that the hour’s walk wasn’t long enough – We discovered that we definitely had a lot more in common and wanted to be more than friends.

Now, the pair have matching tattoos and plan to marry on board in April, when the ship sails between the Panama Canal and Costa Rica, Perron’s former home.

The ship’s captain will marry the young couple as part of a “giant wedding”.

People on the cruise have either rented or bought their own villas, which cost about $120,600 to $348,300.

Harsanyi bought her own yacht residence on board with her sister Lisa, who will join her in the coming months – but Perroni doesn’t mind.

“One part I really like about Gia is that it doesn’t bother him at all. He really respects that this is a girls’ trip, and that’s what I came here for – and it’s very hard to find a man open enough for this when she gets married for the first time, – she said.

She ended up getting the cottage because she decided she needed a change in her life about 2 1/2 years ago.

“I just decided to change everything in my life,” she said. “It sounds kind of crazy to say, but I got tired of being so comfortable…Being in Colorado, we definitely don’t have any ocean surrounding us, so I wanted the opposite of what I was used to. .†€

Perron also needed a shock.

“He just got tired of the in-and-out stuff, the same routine every day. He said when this [cruise information] hit his inbox and he read about it, he knew immediately he was going to do it.â€

The ship is now expected to sail in the coming weeks and Perroni and Harsanyi will be able to enjoy their time at sea together – although Harsanyi “absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed Belfast”.

“I think it’s a beautiful, fun, vibrant and resilient community. I have never met friendlier people in my life. Irons are a blast. The culture is wonderful. Architectural projects knocked my socks off.

“The place is spectacular. If there was more sun, I would be here forever.â€
